In 2015, a group of engineers set out on a mission: “Delivering live ocean data collection while crossing the Atlantic Ocean with an autonomous, solar-powered vessel”. To achieve this mission, the team worked relentlessly for 7 years in their free time to design, build and test several unmanned vessels.

While building the first prototype, we quickly hit a wall: the crucial maritime autonomy components we needed simply didn’t exist on the market. Navigation intelligence, onboard computer, remote operations – every critical component had to be built from scratch.

In 2022, Mahi Two became the world’s first autonomous vessel to cross the Atlantic purely on solar power. It survived 8,000 km of harsh open-ocean conditions to reach Martinique. The crossing was proof that autonomy works when it is engineered without compromises and proven in conditions that break standard tech.

Today, we provide that foundation to you.

At MAHI, we build the technology we once needed ourselves: edge computers designed for salt and spray, AI navigation models trained on real ocean data and remote operation software shaped by operators who know what failure at sea really means.

We’ve dismantled the complexity of maritime autonomy so you don’t have to. We provide the open, universally compatible architecture that allows your fleet to evolve, innovate and scale.

We enable maritime autonomy for any mission.

MAHI mission

Dismantling the complexity of maritime autonomy

MAHI’s products are built for seamlessly integration in any USV platform or crewed vessel, regardless of the size, onboard equipment or mission. Plug-and-play: Our edge computer MAHI Sense eliminates bespoke engineering and costly overhauls. Future-proof: Upgrades and maintenance are seamless, ensuring relevance throughout the vessel’s lifecycle. MAHI’s products are built for seamlessly integration in any USV platform or crewed vessel, regardless of the size, onboard equipment or mission.

Our values

Pursue Impact

Interfaces with any compatible maritime equipment

We focus on what truly moves the needle. Our team gets things done and chooses valuable customer outcomes over technological complexity. When we pursue impact, we don’t chase perfection or novelty but commit to creating real value, learning fast and adapting even faster. It’s a mindset that keeps us grounded in what matters and bold in how we move forward.

Create Together

Modular & open architecture enabling to develop software for your mission
We’d rather go for genuine connection than transactional interaction. We build relationships that last, because collaboration only happens when people trust each other. It means putting the team above individual ego, knowing that shared success always outperforms solo wins. For our customers, it means we deliver the impact we promise – not by hiding behind the fine print, but by standing behind the outcome. When we create together, we combine strengths, honor commitments and deliver outcomes none of us could achieve alone.

Be Passionate

First in the world type-approved maritime autonomy hardware
We believe that groundbreaking work starts when you bring your energy and passion to the job every single day. We don’t just check off task lists, we’re leading a maritime revolution. While we are busy making history, we make it a priority to have fun along the way, blending a sense of joy with the grit it takes to innovate. Above all, we empower our people to take ownership of their work and their growth. We want our team to deliver results and take pride in driving the future of the industry forward.
