Software engineer-AI perception

Are you a top-tier graduate with a passion for AI, edge computing and real-world impact? We are hiring an AI perception Software Engineer to help autonomous vessels see and understand the world in real time.

Main responsibilities

  • Design, implement and improve AI and ML algorithms for object detection and identification, classification, pose estimation and weather identification
  • Develop and train deep learning models using real world and digital twin data to handle rain, fog, waves and low light
  • Optimize and compress models for edge deployment with quantization, pruning, distillation and graph optimization
  • Build robust data and training pipelines, including dataset curation, augmentation and evaluation with clear acceptance metrics
  • Integrate perception modules into our autonomy sack and collaborate closely with R&D, field engineering and integration and test teams to ship high quality software
  • Instrument models and services for observability, performance and safety monitoring in production
  • Contribute to coding standards, code reviews and technical documentation

Field Technician

Are you a hands-on electro-mechanical technician who thrives in dynamic environments and loves seeing technology come to life at sea?  Then this opportunity might just be your next adventure!

Main responsibilities

  • Installing MAHI systems on various vessels (sensor units, computing hardware, power integration), physical installation and cabling
  • Software configuration, tuning of control algorithms, and sea trials.
  • Participating in on-water tests, validation campaigns, and client demonstrations
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues during field operations
  • Collaborating with R&D and operations teams to improve reliability and performance by looping back your observations from the field to the development team

Skipper

MAHI is looking for master to navigate our remotely operated test vessel, the Mahificent! 

Main responsibilities

  • Autonomous vessel tests: Ensure safe departure from the dock, stay aboard during trials, and support on-site crew.
  • Client demonstrations: Represent MAHI on the water and help the tech team ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Supervision: Monitor on-board systems and communicate with the control center.
