MAHI and Belgain Navy signed a new LoI framework

Minister of Defence - Theo Frankcen, Admiral Tanguy Botman - Belgian Navy; MAHI - CEO Pieter-Jan Note

During  the BEDEX 2026, Brussels European Defence Exhibition and Conferece, MAHI and Belgian Navy aligned within the framework of the LoI to conduct trials of unmanned technologies in a maritime environment using demonstration platforms such as the Alpha-8 USV in order to explore potential applications related to coastal security and the protection of critical underwater infrastructure.

The purpose of this cooperation is to exchange knowledge, test emerging technological solutions and contribute to the development of operational concepts relevant to future maritime security challenges in the North Sea.

MAHI and Belgian Navy are committed to ensuring that these activities are part of a broader effort to strengthen innovation and collaboration between the Belgian Navy, industry, and the research ecosystem in the field of maritime autonomy.
